Shadow is a 10 year old dark red Golden, 60 pounds, with an
extremely mellow personality.
Shadow is ready for an awesome family that has time to spend
with him, and if possible, has another dog or two to play with in the
home. He will follow you everywhere
living up to his name, but he is not a pest.
He just wants to be near you and will plop himself next to you. If a forever family is looking for an older
dog that has few if any behavioral issues.
He only barks to be let in.
Otherwise, he’s a quiet dog who spends most of time deep in thought or
dreamland. J
He’s in good shape and loves to chase an occasional tennis
ball. He also wrestles with his younger
sister, a 4-year old Golden, and respects the queen of the house, his 6-year
old sister Golden, by leaving her alone. He loves car rides and after looking out the
window a few times will settle in for the ride.
He’s not a lap dog by any means
but will climb up on a couch for a good long nap. Shadow is also very good with strangers. We’ve taken him to Starbucks, soccer games,
camping, and other places, and he loves the attention.
He has gone cabin camping with us and only barked once when
we were unloading the car in the dark. I
think he wanted to make sure that we were still there.
He is very trustworthy in the house and sleeps on one of
the beds when we’re gone during the day.
We have kept our older dog uncrated so that he has a companion, but we
usually have to wake Shadow when we get home from work (8-9 hours later)
because he’s deep asleep.
