We rescued Shadow about two weeks ago from a shelter near Ann Arbor. When we initially saw him in his cage, he was very subdued. Many of the other dogs at the shelter were barking for our attention, but Shadow lay there on a bed when we came to him. Calling his name didn't stir him much but my wife and daughter were persistent and got him up and wagging his tail. By the time I had finished the paperwork, he waddled out of the pound with us a happier dog.
Unlike our previous rescued Golden, Dolly, Shadow was a very good carrier. My daughter sat in the back with him and he was very calm.
